‌John and Rebecca were married in a religious ceremony about 1820 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee.  They had nine sons and four daughters, named Pleasant, George, William, John, James P., Green, Hiram, Morgan, Gilbert, Priscilla, Elizabeth, Jane and Eliza.
