‌Jacob C. and Nancy were married in a religious ceremony in 1889 in Of, Greene, Tennessee.  They had eight sons and three daughters, and also a child of unknown gender, named Archie, Barton, Earl, Nicholas, Freddie, George, Van, Jerome, Anne, Edna, Ruby and Lurley.
