‌Harden and Catherine were married in a religious ceremony about 1835 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee.  They had five sons and seven daughters, named Jacob, Samuel, William, Henry Clay, Joseph, Mary, Matilda, Malvina, Catherine, Louisa, Harriet and Susan.
