John Blessing 
John was born about 1809 in Of Greene County, Ohio. John's father was John Blessing and his mother was Clarissa Elizabeth Skeen. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Blessing and Elizabeth Ritschart. He had six brothers and a sister, named Reuben, Abraham, Marcus, Isaac, Amos, Joseph Josiah and Catherine. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.-
