William M. Barr 
William M. was born in 1822 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. William M.'s father was George Barr and his mother was Elizabeth Hawk. He had five brothers and three sisters, named James E., George B., Thomas A., Jacob Alexander, Andrew H., Elizabeth, Margaret J. and Eliza B.. He was the oldest of the nine children.
