Richard Ashton 
Richard's father was Edmund Ashton and his mother was Ann Prestwich. His paternal grandparents were James Ashton and Agnes Mainwaring; his maternal grandfather was Ralph Prestwich. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Edmond, James, Alice, Alice, Elizabeth and Katherine.
