Elizabeth was born in 1785 in Sullivan County, Tennesse.  Elizabeth's father was William Anderson and her mother was Jane Brian. She had six brothers and five sisters, named James, John, William, Andrew, Thomas Brian, Samuel, Sarah, Susannah, Mary, Margaret and Jane.  She was the youngest of the twelve children.
