John Devore Amos 
John Devore was born about 1797 in , Bourbon, Kentucky. John Devore's father was Thomas Amos and his mother was Catherine Devore. His paternal grandparents were Nicholas Day Amos and Christiana Ditto. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Nicholas, Mordecai, Abraham Ditto, William Cook, Elizabeth, Harriet, Catherine, Christiana and Ann. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died on February 24th, 1864.-
