James Amis 
James was born on November 6th, 1790 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. James' father was Thomas Amis and his mother was Lucy Haynes. His paternal grandparents were John Amis and Mary Dillard; his maternal grandparents were Francis Bythell Haynes and Anne Bell. He had two brothers and a sister, named Haynes, William and Nancy. He was the second youngest of the four children. He had four half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named John, Willis, Lincoln, Thomas Gale, Tabitha, Frances, Mary, Elizabeth, Rachel, Alice Gale and Penelope. He died at the age of 80 in October 1871 in , Of Hawkins, Tennessee.-
