Margaret was born in 1741 in Virginia. Margaret's father was Anthony Alsobrook and her mother was Ann. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Alsobrook and Sarah Bentley. She had a brother and three sisters, named Michael, Eleanor, Elizabeth and Sarah. She was the third oldest of the five children.-
