Akard 
Akard was born in 1898 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. Akard's father was William Franklin Akard and his mother was Mary Catherine Harr. His paternal grandparents were John Akard and Emma Margaret Rodefer; his maternal grandparents were Jacob Droke Harr and Saran Ann Galloway. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Akard, Guy, John Hugh, James David, Ida Ann, Emma Lillian, Naomi Pearl and Martha Alice. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died in 1898 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.-
