David Akard 
David was born in 1829 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. David's father was Adam Akard and his mother was Elizabeth Wassom. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Aeckard and Susanna Margaretha Latture; his maternal grandparents were John Wassom and Elizabeth Sells. He had three brothers named John, Moses and James. He died at the age of 80 in 1909.-
