Gronwy was born about 1073 in of Tegaingl, Flintshire, Wales.1 Gronwy's father was Owain ap Edwin Lord Tegaingl and his mother was Morwyl verch Ednywain. His paternal grandparents were Edwin ap Gronwy and Iwerydd verch Cynfyn; his maternal grandparents were Ednywain I (Bendew) ap Neiniad and Gwerful verch Lluddica. He had a sister named Angharad. He was the younger of the two children. He died in 1124.1 -
