Prudence was born about 1599 in , Hertfordshire, England.1   Prudence's father was John Bird and her mother was Prudence Unknown.  Her paternal grandparents were John Bird and Mary Unknown. She had two brothers and four sisters, named John, William, Elizabeth, Mary, Jane and Susan.  She was the third oldest of the seven children.  She died in 1671 in , Hertfordshire, England.1
