Jennet was born in 1904. Jennet's father was Robert Beggs and her mother was Minnie Hyndman. Her paternal grandparents were James Beggs and Fanny Blow. She had a brother and three sisters, named Douglas, Helena M, Lois and Freda. She was the third oldest of the five children.-
