Walter FitzRobert was born in 1110 in Dunmow, Essex, England.1 Walter FitzRobert's father was Robert FitzRichard Baron Baynard and his mother was Maud de St. Liz. His paternal grandparents were Richard FitzGilbert de Clare and Rohese Giffard; his maternal grandparents were Simon de St. Liz Earl of Northampton and Matilda (Maud) of Northumbria. He had two half-brothers named Robert de Quincy and William "Pincerna". He died at the age of 88 in 1198 in of Little Dunmow, Essex.1 -
