Narrative

[dsfsdfsd.FTW]

You will notice throughout this list various spellings of the LOMENICK surname. This is because of the inter-changeable vowels due to peoples accent, language, and handwriting.
Listed in the book of "Pennsylvania German Pioneers who took the Oath of Allegiance to Pennsylvania", Jacob at the age of 34 arrived with Johan Lamenick on the ship Samuel on August 27, 1739 at Phlildelphia, Pa.
Found in a book "South Carolina Royalist" Pg. 42 Jacob Lommick is the 29th listed Muster, Vacant Co (formerly Cpt Alexander Cambell's Troop), SC Royalist, Camden, SC, 23 Feb 1781, 60 days, 24 Feb-24 Apr 1781. This detachment of Royalist were assigned for duty with Delancy's 2nd battallion; however for accounting purposes, they were still part of Cpt. Alexander Cambell's Co.
In 1789 Jacob Lamaneck transferred 147 acres of land to Jacob and Michael Lamaneck in Newberry Co, SC. This tells us that these men were US citizens because you had to be a citizen to own land.
In 1790 census Old 96th districk SC Jacob Lomanick and Jacob Lomanuk Sen. are listed. Jacob Lomnick has in his household 1 white male over 16 including head of family, 1 white male under 16 and 3 white females including head of family. Ages unknown.
