OBITURARY

Maxcy Gregg Scott, son of Rev. Robert H. and Conelia Scott, was born in Kingston, La., Nov. 29, 1862. He passed from this life on Sept. 9, 1938 at the age of 75 years, 10 mos., and 11 days.

At the age of 20 years he united with the Kingston Missionary Baptist Church of which faith he emained faithful util the end.

He was united in marriage on January 15, 1888 with Miss Adlena DeWitt. To this union five children were born, one son Arthur Gregg Scott, passed away while serving in the World War. The surviving children Lockwood A., Max H., Mrs. Leon L. Jordan, and Miss Helen Jane with their mother, also one brother E.L. Scott of Baton Rouge, La., and 2 sisters, Mrs. Alice Sample of Mansfield, La., and Mrs. Pena Courtney of Shreveport, La. and 7 grandchildren are left to mourn the loss of a kind and loving husband, father, brother and grandfather.
