ANN (X) FOUNTAIN deed of gift to her son, JAMES FOUNTAIN, of Edgecombe Co. , Jan 5, 1784----------personal possessions----" and the will of Peter Bruce Senr., of Halifax County N.C., dated Jan. 4 1760; proved March 1762 in which he names his daughter Ann Fountain and appoints John Fountain a trustee of his will, indicates that Ann Bruce was the wife of John Fountain.
