Nicki, known as Nicki, was born on March 3rd, 1977 in Lower Hutt, New Zealand.1   Nicki's father is Henryk Rombel and his/her mother is Elżbieta Rombel (Polaczuk).  His/her paternal grandfather was Bolesław Rombel and his/her paternal grandmother is Zofia Rombel; his/her maternal grandfather was Mikołaj Polaczuk and his/her maternal grandmother is Celina Polaczuk (Gawronek). He/she has a brother and two sisters, named Peter, Alicja and Juliet.  He/she is the second oldest of the four children.
