Ondrej was born on November 26th, 1929 in Brodno.  Ondrej's father was Ondrej Virdzek and his mother was Helena Virdzeková (Horvátová).  His paternal grandfather was Pavol Virdzek and his paternal grandmother is <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Horvát and Zuzana Horvátová (Bareny).  He had three brothers and a sister, named Ladislav, Emil, <Unknown> and <Unknown>.  He died at the age of 67 on December 5th, 1996 in Žilina.  The funeral took place in Budatín.  His burial was in Budatín.
