Anna's father was Ján Valenčík and her mother was Katarína Valenčík (Pottfay).  Her paternal grandparents were Juraj Valenčík and Katarína Valenčík (Sušarský); her maternal grandparents were Adam Pottfay and Anna Jurata (Pottfay).  She had two brothers and three sisters, named Martin, Valenčík, Judita, Alžbeta and Katarína.
