Pieter Joubert was born on February 19th, 1958. Pieter Joubert's father was Jacobus Adriaan Rozier van Blerk and his mother was Margaretha Evangelena Joubert (van Blerk). His paternal grandparents were Johannes van Blerk and Margaretha Johanna van der Merwe (van Blerk). He has a brother and a sister, named Johannes and Maria Magdalena Marlene.
