Petronella Johanna was born on March 22nd, 1912. Petronella Johanna's father was Francois Petrus van Blerk and her mother was Elizabeth Maryna Magrietha Pretorius (van Blerk). Her paternal grandparents were Hendrik Stephanus van Blerk and Maria Susanna Catharina Janse van Rensburg (van Blerk). She had two brothers and two sisters, named Hendrik Stephanus Hertzog, Coert Petrus, Rachel Elizabeth and Maria Susanna. She was the second oldest of the five children.General Notes
