Maria Wilhelmina was born on September 9th, 1908. Maria Wilhelmina's father was Petrus Gerhardus Louw van Blerk and her mother was Sara Magretha Joubert (van Blerk). Her paternal grandparents were Simon Petrus van Blerk and Jacomina Hendrina Louw (van Blerk); her maternal grandparents were Daniel Hendrik Joubert and Anna Elizabeth Louw (Joubert). She had six brothers and three sisters, named Sam, Jan Joubert, Petrus Johannes, Stephanus Gerhardus, Jacobus, Paul Johannes, Sarah Margaretha, Jacomina Hendrina and Rachel Elizabeth. She was the fifth youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 85 on April 20th, 1994.General Notes
