Jacobus Adrijan Rozier was born on April 22nd, 1860 in Vlakfontein, Malmesbury.  Jacobus Adrijan Rozier's father was Simon Petrus van Blerk and his mother was Jacomina Hendrina Louw (van Blerk).  His paternal grandparents were Johannes Petrus van Blerk and Geertruida Elizabeth Louw (van Blerk); his maternal grandparents were Jacobus Adriaan Louw and Rachel Elizabeth (Louw). He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Simon Petrus, Petrus Gerhardus Louw, Jan Albertus, Johanna Petronella, Jacomina Aletta, Anna Magrita, Cornelia Johanna Jacoba, Martha Berrenda, Catharina Christina and Ragel Elizabeth. He had an adopted brother named Gerhadus. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Nicolaas Philip, Philip Petrus and Hester Magdalena.  He died at the age of 76 on July 9th, 1936 in Kalabaskraal, Malmesbury, Cape.  He was buried in Malmesbury, Old cemetery.
