Frederik Johannes van Blerk 
Frederik Johannes was born on May 28th, 1846. Frederik Johannes' father was Hendrik Everhadus van Blerk and his mother was Elizabeth Jacoba Rippel (van Blerk). His paternal grandparents were Rogier Bernhadus van Blerk and Martha Basina Dorothea van de Kaap; his maternal grandparents were Johannes Rippel and Magdalena Antonisse van de Kaap (Rippel). He had three brothers and a sister, named Hendrik Zerjakus, Christiaan Hendrik Jacobus, Jan Carel and Magdalene Hendina. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 76 in 1922 in Colesberg.General Notes
