Barbara Christina was born on April 1st, 1919 in Loxton. Barbara Christina's father was Marthinus Johannes van Blerk and her mother was Barbara Christina Murray (van Blerk). Her paternal grandparents were Nicolaas Willem van Blerk and Maria Johanna Erasmus (van Blerk); her maternal grandparents were John Herman Murray and Gertruida Johanna Viljoen (Murray). She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Nicolaas Willem, Marthinus Johannes and Willem Francois. She died at 1 months old on May 3rd, 1919 in Loxton.-
