Louisa Jacoba was born in 1861 in Stellenbosch.  Louisa Jacoba's father was Johannes Ludewikus Pretorius and her mother was Anna Helena Margaretha Krige (Pretorius).  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 60 on January 27th, 1921 in National Hospital Bloemfontein, Free State.
