Fredrika Pretorius (Smythe) 
Fredrika's father was Nicolaas Francois Pretorius and her mother was Frederika Johanna van Blerk. Her paternal grandparents were Nicolaas Francois Pretorius and Martha Susanna van der Merwe (Pretorius); her maternal grandparents were Andries Christoffel van Blerk and Maria Elisabeth Magdalena Soekoe. She had six brothers named Andries Christoffel, Nicolaas Francois, Frederick Andries, Johan George, Paul and David Schalk. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Paul, Johan George and Fredricka.-
