Lionel Spurgeon was born on May 20th, 1898.  Lionel Spurgeon's father was Charles Spurgeon Hockey and his mother was Maria Aileen Francis (Hockey).  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 75 on June 28th, 1973 in Evenvale Hosptal.
