Rafael was born in 1631.  Rafael's father was Tomás Trebiño de Sobremonte ( alias Geronymo Represa) and his mother was Maria Gomez.  His maternal grandparents were Pedro López (Simón Fernández) and Leonor Núñez. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Antonio, Gabriel, Salvador, Leonor and Micaela.  He died at the age of 17 in 1648.
