Catalina was born in 1601 in Seville.  Catalina's father was Antonio Rodríguez Arias and her mother was Doña Blanca Enríquez.  Her paternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>; her maternal grandfather is Diego Rodríguez da Silva and her maternal grandmother was Juana Rodríguez de los Angeles. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Gabriel, Diego, Beatriz, Micaela, Rafaela and Juana.  She was the oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 48 in 1649 in Mexico City.

Catalina and Diego were married.  They had two sons and three daughters, named Pedro, Antonio, Juana, Miguel and Isabel.
