Isabel was born in 1621 in Mexico City.  Isabel's father was Diego López (Ribero) Rivera and her mother was Doña Blanca de Ribera (Mendez).  Her paternal grandparents are Antonio Ribera and Catalina Rodríguez; her maternal grandparents are Enrique Rodríguez Obregón and Margarita López. She had four sisters named Catalina, Clara, Maria and Margarita.  She died at the age of 25 in 1646 in Mexico City.
