  • died at age 12.  Daughter of Simon Vaez Sevilla.  She judaized a year and half before she died.  Judaized by grandmother.  "Since she was the daughter of such parents, one could not expect more than this of the viper of hell." p.220.  Sign of acculturation, when she got sick, her parents wanted to play music for her, "she said that [no music was required, as] she had been surrounded by angels for the prior three days, accompanied by her grandmother.  She said there was a negritaat the foot of her bed when there was none.   The presence of a crucifix on her bed "to avoid any suspicions by the slaves r Catholic people who might come visit her." p. 220.  Her death was, "a suitable punishment for the committed in causing the death of our lord Jesus Christ, and for not believing Him to be their true Messiah and God." p. 221.
