Captain Antonio “alias Tirado” Váez Casteloblanco

Antonio, known as alias Tirado, was born in 1574. Alias Tirado's father is Gaspar Gonzalez (Gonzalves) Soburro and his mother is Leonor Váez. He had a brother and two sisters, named Simon, Maria and Elena . He died at the age of 75 in 1649.

"In the year 42 or 43, a great fleet had come to these kingdoms and there were many people of the Judaic profession on it. They converted to Judaism a quantity of Catholics who continued to live as Jews." p. 128. Very problematic--see Liebman's note 3, p. 130. "He preached that those who followed the law would not be condemned and neither would the Christians because there was no Hell and no place appointed for torment." p. 129. He and Sobremonte had a considerable dispute over triviality of religious practices, including fasts. "Many of the penitents in these autos of this conspiracy were his disciples." Read notes 6 & 7.
