Duarte Rodríguez

Duarte was born in 1594 in Alpedriña (Alpedrinha). Duarte's father is Gaspar Rodríguez and his mother is <Unknown>. His paternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>. He was an only child. He died at the age of 52 in 1646 in Veracruz.

General Notes
- His first cousin, Rodrigo Váez Pereira, was relaxed in person in Lima in 1639. He had also lived in Peru. Also claimed to be from Valencia first. Accused of hiding a great number of “delitos” that he and his kin committed in Peru. husband of Doña Clara Texoso, in the auto of April 16, 1646. His first cousin, Rodrigo Váez Pereira "relajado"--burned in Inquisition of Lima in 1639. Could it be that they fled? Also charged with making fun of Catholics and the Semana Santa in 1646. He had a copy of Flos Sanctorum de la vidas de los santos and would read only the Old Testament prophets and patriarchs. p. 184.
