Jorge Ramírez de Montilla

Jorge was born in 1612 in Montilla. Jorge's father is Diego Enríquez de Montilla and his mother is Isabel Ramírez. His maternal grandparents are Francisco Antúnez and Doña Antonia Núñez. He had a brother and a sister, named Manuel and Elena. He died at the age of 36 in 1648 in Querétaro.

In the relation of his trial, a virtual family tree for many of the judaizers in the autos of 1646-48 are given: parents--Diego Enríquez de Montilla and Isabel Ramírez, sister of Duarte de León Jaramillo and Simon Montero. In total, 13 of his relatives were tried in the autos. IMPORTANT QUOTE: "Por vivir con los recelos y temores con que viven los judaizantes, de ordinario, de ser presos por la Inquisición, ocultó y escondió y, en parte, malbarató su caudal (squandered his fortune); y se verificó, pues al tiempo de su prisión no se le halló el que se le embargó poco antes, por la dependencia de cuentas con el dicho su tío Duarte de León Jaramillo, sino en gran manera disminuído, como constó de ambos inventarios." p.224.
