Manuel Méndez (de Miranda)

Manuel was born in 1587 in Lisbon. Manuel's father is <Unknown> and his mother is <Unknown>. His paternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>. He was an only child. He died at the age of 62 in 1649 in Mexico City.

General Notes
- p. 85-6. Widower of Isabel de Acosta, sister of Doña Blanca Enriquez. Enriquez' husband, Fernando Rodriguez, reconciled in auto of 1647. Well versed in the Holy Scripture, indicating education. Accused of bigamy by marrying Isabel de Acosta, Francis de Acosta's widow, and sent an "Apostolic brief to his Holiness which would serve as a pardon" p. 86. His father was a Licenciado in Lisbon.
