Doña Geronyma Esperanza (alias Esperanza Geronyma de Silva)

Geronyma was born in Seville. Geronyma 's father is Diego Rodríguez da Silva and her mother was Juana Rodríguez de los Angeles. She had three sisters named Isabel, Clara and Blanca. She died in 1649.

- p. 207-8. Sister of Blanca Enriquez, mother in law of Simon Vaez Sevilla. Born in Seville. Husband reconciled here. "The sign of the demons came shortly before she died when she saw in her apartment a small animal like a cat or fox or dog which shook its tail in her face and the disappeared." p. 208. "Her parents gave her the name Esperanza because they hoped that she would give birth to the Messiah."
