Ruth was born on June 6th, 1663 in Scituate, Plymouth County, Massachusetts and her christening took place there on May 27th, 1662.1   Ruth's father was John Turner and her mother was Mary Brewster.  Her paternal grandparents were Humphrey Turner and Lydia Gamer; her maternal grandparents were Johnathan Brewster and Lucretia Oldham. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named Jonathan, Ezekiel, John, Elisha, Benjamin, Isaac, Amos, Lydia and Mary.  She was the eighth oldest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 66 in October 1729 in Duxbury, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.1
