Leander E. Spinney

Leander was born in 1863 in Kittery, York County, Maine. Leander's father was Augustus W. Spinney and his mother was Sarah Shapleigh. His paternal grandparents were Simon Spinney and Olive Grover; his maternal grandparents are Ivory Shapleigh and Sarah Chick. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Almon, Herman, Sarah and Augusta. He was the youngest of the five children.
