Francis Joseph Spinney

Francis was born on September 29th, 1923. Francis' father was Ebenezer Spinney and his mother is Carilean Ursula Smith. His paternal grandparents were William L. Spinney and Sarah Lee. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Otis, John, William, Charles, Chester, Maudie, Lucy, Katheryn, Marie, Corrine and Myrtle. He died at the age of 76 on May 12th, 2000 in 69945 South Nottawa Street, Sturgis, Michigan. The funeral took place in Sturgis, Michigan and was arranged by Hackman-Foglesong Funeral Home.

  Sturgis; Francis Joseph Spinney, 76, of 69945 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, Michigan died peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 29, 2000.
  He was born September 16, 1923 in Lansing, Michigan, a son to Eben and Carilean (Smith) Spinney.
  Mr. Spinney had been a Sturgis resident for the past 10 years. For many years he lived in Arizona.
  On June 10, 1944 he married Norma Smith in Albion, Indiana. He was a retired tool and die maker by trade and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
  He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Norma Spinney; a daughter and her husband, Karon and Ronald King of Sturgis; a son and his wife, Art and Marie Spinney of Ann Arbor; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
  Preceding him in death were his parents and several brothers and sisters.
  In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
  The family suggests those wishing to make a memorial donation in Mr. Spinney's memory, consider a charity of one's own choice.
