    LYNN - Alyson M. "Alley Cat" Spinney, 44 of Lynn died unexpectedly at home Thursday after a brief illness.
    
    Born in Lynn, daughter of Frances (Patton) Spinney of Lynn and the late Donald M. Spinney, she was a graduate of Lynn Vocational Technical High School, and resided in Lynn for most of her life.
    
    She was employed at Lynn Ladder for several years in the Accounting Department.
    
    Alyson enjoyed ski trips and organizing trips and functions for family and friends. She was a friend of Bill W.
    
    In addition to her mother, she leaves a son Tyler Melcher, age 16, a daughter Ashley Melcher age 15, both of Lynn, her former companion Mark Melcher of Lynn, two brothers Donald S. Spinney and his wife Deborah and Daniel N. Spinney and his wife Maureen all of Amesbury, one sister Susan R. Snow of Lynn, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Service Information: Funeral Services will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple St., Lynn Tuesday at 7PM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Interment will be private at a later date.
