John was born in May 1638 in Hingham, Plymouth County, Massachusetts and his christening took place there on May 26th, 1638.1   John's father was John Prince, Elder of Hull and his mother was Alice Honor.  His paternal grandparents were Rev John Prince and Elizabeth Tolderbury. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Robert, Joseph, Job, Samuel, Benjamin, Isaac, Thomas, Elizabeth, Martha and Deborah.  He was the second oldest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 50 on February 17th, 1689 in Hingham, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.1
