Richard was born about 1622 in Rattlesden, Suffolk County, England and his christening took place about 1647 conducted by Bishop .1  Richard's father was Richard Kimball and his mother was Ursula Scott.  His paternal grandparents were Henry Kimball and Johanna Kimball; his maternal grandparents were Henry Scott and Martha Whatlock. He had six brothers and six sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Alexander, Henry, Thomas, Benjamin, Caleb, John, Abigail, Mary, Ursula, Elizabeth, Martha, Sarah and Kimball.  He died on June 5th, 1676 in Wenham, Essex County, Massachusetts.  He was buried in Wenham, Essex County, Massachusetts.1 1
