James L. Dow

James was born on November 6th, 1830. James' father was Alexander Dow and his mother was Sarah Mason. His paternal grandparents were Jonathan Dow and Mary Black. He had four brothers and eight sisters, named George, Henry, Jonathan, Leroy, Katherine, Eliza, Sarah, Amanda, Celia, Mary, Harriet and Clara. He was the fifth oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 68 on October 23rd, 1899.
