George W. Dow

George was born in 1838 in Fairfax, Franklin County, Vermont. George's father was Winslow Hermon Dow and his mother was Adeline L. Chamberlain. His paternal grandparents were Jonathan Dow and Joanna Gilman; his maternal grandparents are Ebenezer Chamberlain and <Unknown>. He had two brothers and four sisters, named William, Edward, Betsey, Lydia, Polly and Eveline. He was the oldest of the seven children.
