Myrddin's father was David Thomas and his mother was Elizabeth.  His paternal grandparents were David Thomas and Ann Williams. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Philip, Owen, Arthur, Wyndham, David, ?, Samuel and Annie.  He was the third youngest of the nine children. He had a half-brother named Roger.  He died in 1906.
