Willem  was born on July 1st, 1770 in Neder Hardinxveld and his christening took place on July 1st, 1770 in Hardingsveld, Zuid Holland, Netherlands. Willem 's father was Arie  Eliaszn Blokland and his mother was Neeltje  Lodewijksd Vesluijs.  His paternal grandparents were Elias  Arijsz Blokland and  Maijke Marrigje  Herberts Versloot; his maternal grandparents were Lodewijk  Corss Vesluis and Ariaentje  Willemsd Bowman. He had four brothers and a sister, named Jan , Lodewijk Ariesz, Elias Ariesz, Cornelis and Ariaantje .  He was the third youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 52 on February 23rd, 1823 in Hardingveld Nederland.
